Halloween 2016

We had an unusually warm day at the pumpkin patch at Rock Creek Farms. It was flip flop weather, but we wish we would have known that little spurs would be all throughout the dirt, sticking to our shoes while we tried to find the perfect pumpkin!

We had a great day!

Next up, crossing our fingers that Julian's costume from last year still fit and getting ready to hand out candy!

So glad it still fit! He was the cutest little lion for the second year in a row! I think we might have to get a new costume next year...

When Daddy's Away...

...we go to Alabama!

Steve left for his 'annual' hunting trip with the guys, and so momma and Julian (and baby bump) hopped on a plane to visit with PawPaw and MawMaw!

Honestly, flying with a one year old while pregnant and alone was not ideal. It was really rough, but we survived! Julian was really good on the flights, it was just the logistics of getting items on and off the plane that made it so difficult.

We had a great visit, even if Julian woke up at 4am EVERY. SINGLE. MORNING.

He ate a lot of little oranges from PawPaw's trees, had his first bbq rib and LOVED it, practiced walking with MawMaw and played hard!

SECOND TIME AROUND

We are expecting our second precious baby in March! I am so excited to finally be able to share the news with everyone. We cannot wait to welcome a new baby boy into our family and hearts, and see Julian become a big brother.

This pregnancy is such a blessing, but it does come with a whole new set of appointments and worries after giving birth to Julian two months too soon. So far the baby has been growing right on track and symptoms have been ebbing and flowing. We've known since July...which has been extremely tough! After finding out about the pregnancy, we celebrated our anniversary in Snowmass with a vomit-y Julian. It was a really rough trip. Then, we celebrated Julian's first birthday! And then the whole house caught viral pink eye the same time Julian wound up at Children's Hospital for his bone infection. Talk about struggle. It was extremely hard going through that with Julian while battling viral pink eye and pregnancy nausea, and oh the hormones - trying to hide it on top of everything! We were planning on telling the Texas family on our trip there to meet our new nephew, but we had to cancel the trip due to the hospital stay and ended up snapping this photo to send instead.

I had constant nausea for the first fourteen weeks, and definitely exhaustion from the pregnancy and chasing Julian around. I don't think he's going to take it easy on me these next few months!

I'm currently 17 weeks pregnant and we just found out recently that we will be having a bouncing baby BOY! I can't wait to watch these two boys grow together! The decision to find out the gender this time around has been a ton of fun and very special. We look forward to the months to come!

Fall Festival 2016

Dad had to work this weekend, so we found a fun Fall Festival to walk around and enjoy the nice weather.

Julian rode on a horse drawn carriage, ate leaves off the ground, sipped cold apple cider from Mom's cup and had a in day outside.
