Julian was really excited because that meant early birthday celebrations for him, and presents and CAKE! I'll have to add more pictures once they get loaded from my camera, but we had so much fun. We even created a cake monster!

Early Birthday Celebration
After a crazy trip to Aspen, we were so excited to get home and see MawMaw and PawPaw!
Julian was really excited because that meant early birthday celebrations for him, and presents and CAKE! I'll have to add more pictures once they get loaded from my camera, but we had so much fun. We even created a cake monster!

Anniversary Trip to Maroon Bells
Happy two year anniversary to me and Steve!
Like last year, we decided we would head out to Aspen for the weekend and go back to our wedding site :) Only this time, we had munchkin in tow!
The drive was T.E.R.R.I.B.L.E. Julian was NOT having it. He fussed the entire 5 hour drive. Once we got to the hotel we tried to relax a little bit and have Julian nap. That night we walked up the steep hill to a German restaurant. It was completely empty inside - thank goodness - because Julian was a bear.
We grabbed breakfast the next morning and started the drive out to Maroon Bells. Julian was cooperating until we got through the gates at the park. Vomiting ensued. All over the car seat. Fabulous. We cleaned him (and the car) up and decided to walk to the lake and snap a few pictures before going back to Snowmass.
The horse flies were insane, and it made us appreciate that there weren't big bugs at our wedding.
We finally saw a moose!
After a lot of pictures, we decided to head on back so we could wander around Snowmass Village and then have an early dinner.
We went to our favorite restaurant right when it opened to hopefully eat and get back out before it got too busy and Julian drew too much attention our way. We were barely successful. Once we got back to the hotel that night, Julian threw up more....and more and more. No one really got any sleep.
The drive back to Denver was even worse than the drive to Snowmass, but we survived. We were excited to get home since PawPaw and MawMaw were coming in town and we were going to have an early birthday celebration for Julian!

11 Months!
Our munchkin is 11 months! Sooo close to his birthday!
I don't want to think about it just yet!
It was a little bit of a rough month for the household. The night before our Father's Day plans to head to South Fork, Julian got a pretty high temp of 104.3 and we had to take him to Children's. He had his first ear infection! After lots of sleep, antibiotics, and tlc, Julian was on the mend and back to his normal antics.
He's been struggling with wanting to fall asleep, which has been rough on everyone. He will only go to sleep now after he fights long and hard and finally crashes in your arms. Then you have to ever so gently put him to bed, praying he doesn't wake up...or else you have to start the routine all over again. It's exhausting!
He barely naps at daycare, but he's eating off of the school's menu like a champ! I think we are going to have empty wallets with this boy's love for food! He's almost the biggest kiddo in his room right now, as all the other bigger kids have moved up to the toddler room. He'll be over there before we know it!
He's pulling up on EVERYTHING, and in general getting into everything.
